13JUN2005 Argo Database Consistency Checking
The USGODAE Argo Database is used for all LAS Argo operations
and data selection in the USGODAE Argo GDAC Data Browser.
To repair some problems in keeping the Argo database
synchronized with the on-line GDAC data, we have implemented
several new consistency checking procedures. First, database
records updates now depend on file modification times, instead
of the netCDF date_update field. This guarantees that any
time a file is replaces, the database is appropriately
updated. Next, we have implemented a system that ensures
synchronization between the profiles on-line and the profiles
in the database. Now, if files are removed from the GDAC,
they will also be removed from the database.
For access to Argo data an information see:
USGODAE Argo Data Access Page
08JUN2005 Live Access Server Upgrade to v6.5
